About Tyler Stovall

Tyler Stovall, founder of Stovall Athletics, was a three sport athlete at Hokes Bluff High School in Alabama from 2004-2008 and graduated as class Valedictorian. He represented his country by playing for Team USA in the 2007 Pan Am games (USA baseball's National team). Stovall was Louisville Slugger's National Pitcher of the Year, Gatorade Player of the Year, and Alabama's Mr. Baseball. Stovall holds 8 AHSAA records for hitting and pitching with one being a national record. Stovall led Hokes Bluff High School to 5 straight State Championships (started as an 8th grader) from 2004-2008. Stovall was the quarterback for Hokes Bluff High School and earned Alabama All-State honors as a punter as well.

Stovall was drafted in the 2nd round by the Atlanta Braves in the 2008 MLB Draft (64th overall in the draft) as a left-handed pitcher. Stovall played 6 years of professional baseball before arriving on the Plains to play Auburn Football. He held for Daniel Carlson all four years; the pair set numerous field goal and kicking records. Stovall was a 1st team CoSIDA Academic All-American while at Auburn. He was recognized as the "oldest player in the SEC" nicknamed "Papa Stove" by his teammates. Stovall received the Unsung Hero Award for Auburn University in 2018 for his leadership qualities exhibited on and off the field to his teammates. To top it all off, Stovall came back to the baseball diamond for the Tigers as a graduate assistant in 2018 for coach Butch Thompson where he helped with the pitching staff. Casey Mize, the 1st overall pick in the 2018 MLB Draft, gave Stovall credit for teaching him the cut fastball before the season and taking his game to the next level. During Stovall's tenure, the Tigers advanced to their 2nd Super Regional in program history, and Mize became the first 1st overall pick in Auburn history. While at Auburn, Stovall obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Marketing and a Master's degree in Exercise Science with a focus in Biomechanics.

Tyler Stovall not only has a passion for helping young athletes reach athletic goals, but also offers encouragement for youths to make good grades and be a leader in the classroom. Tyler also spends time speaking at churches and other events about his faith and how he would be nothing without the love and grace of God.

Tyler Stovall (Stovall Athletics) currently runs baseball and football camps in Alabama as well as gives individual lessons in the areas of hitting, pitching, catching, fielding, kicking, punting, snapping, and speed & agility. He also serves the community through speaking engagements for youth rallies, churches, small groups, teams and other events to encourage youths to stand firm in their faith.
